Skradin, a town and port on the right bank of the River Krka, about 16 km north of Šibenik. The main economic base is represented by agriculture, wine-growing, horticulture and tourism. Upstream, not very far from Skradin, there is a bridge across the River Krka. It is placed on the regional road. In addition, there is also the ACI marina Skradin.

Skradin, which is the centre of the NP Krka, is one of the oldest Croatian settlements with the town status (the 2nd century). It is situated not far from the Skradinski buk phenomenon and thus it has represented the life centre since the early antique period. Modern and organized tourism developed in the 60`s. Arranged town beach, high grade accommodation, famous delicacies (like risotto, sea-fruit) and wines (debit, plavina), perfect sea cultivation center and marina make Skradin the town for everybody, especially for lovers of nature and its phenomena. On the first Saturday in August, Skradin is the host of the encounters of Dalmatian bends (klapa), and special festivities take place during the holidays of the Nativity of Virgin Mary (Mala Gospa – 8th September) and St. Jeronim`s, the protector of Skradin (30th September).
